As Inflation Skyrockets, President Biden says it’s “a ‘Real Tough Problem,’

With inflation rates at 40 year highs, and economists predicting that it will rise further in the year 2023, President Biden said today that it’s a real tough problem and could not say when inflation would come down.

The administration has continuously blamed Covid-19 and the Russian invasion of Ukraine for the country’s economic problems, but Republicans see it differently.

They have hammered the administration’s policies for our dire economic state. One example is excessive spending—something that even liberal economists have predicted would lead to inflation. Another would be the Democrats’ hostility to oil drilling, which the Republicans blame for the sharp rise in gasoline prices.

For his part, Biden maintained: “I think our policies have helped, not hurt. Think about what they say. The vast majority of the economists think that this is going to be a real tough problem to solve. But it’s not because of spending,” he asserted.
