As Skverer Rebbe Departs for Respite, Recognizes Melamdim ‘Servants of Heaven’

The Skverer Rebbe has departed for a few weeks of rest on the West Coast of the United States. Still, before leaving, he had an important piece of business to attend: Recognizing the melamdim who dedicate themselves to the holy work of chinuch of the children of the chassidus.

At the melave malka, the Rebbe gifted each of these melamdim—from New Square, Boro Park, Monsey, and Lakewood— with a token of appreciation for their tireless and dedicated work.

This event comes as the chinuch staff from the greater New York area will spend a Shabbos of elevation in Norwalk, Connecticut, together with the Rebbe’s son, Rav Aharon Mendel Twersky, shlit”a.

“The melamdim have the zechus to be messengers of Hashem—they transmit the mesorah to the future generations. Every child is a world for himself. The Gemara tells us great things about one who teaches Torah to another person’s child. If so, it is indeed a great zechus to gather together for a Shabbos,” said the Rebbe’s son in advance of this Shabbos.
