BDE: Mr. Stanley Goldgrab, z”l, Longtime Vice-President of Shomrei Emunah

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Mr. Goldgrab, a pillar of Congregation Shomrei Emunah for close to half a century, and its dedicated Vice-President for close to two decades.

He was born in Brooklyn in the late 1940’s.

Following his marriage to the late Fraidel (née Kress), whose family had old Boro Park roots, the couple settled in Boro Park, and they joined the legendary Shomrei Emunah.

“Stanley was always extemely dedicated to the shul, its Rabbonim, and its members,” recalled fellow congregants. “He was the longtime ba’al toke’ah, and just loved helping out in the shul in every possible way.” He had a special place in his heart for the beautiful silver and brass collection, and would always be shining, beautifying, and maintaining them.

He worked for decades at Maimonides Hospital, another Boro Park institution.

Mr. Goldgrab had been unwell in recent months, and passed away today (Monday), accompanied by a lifetime of osek b’tzorchei tzibur be’emunah.

The levaya will take place on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m., at the graveside in Beth Israel Memorial Park. U.S. Highway 1, Woodbridge, N.J. (Society located at Central Avenue & Goshen Walk).

Yehi Zichro Baruch.
