BDE: Mrs. Chaya Blima Silber, A"H
We regrets to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Chaya Blima Silber, at the untimely age of 29, to the deep anguish and heartbreak of her young family and many acquaintances.
She was the daughter of Rav Menachem Tzvi Greenbaum, shlit”a, and a granddaughter of Rav Ephraim Oshry, zt”l, the Rov of the Beis Medrash Hagodol on the Lower East Side.
Her husband, ybl”ch, Reb Meir Yoel Silber, is a grandson of the Freimaner Rov, Rav Menachem Zecharia Silber, shlit”a, who leads his Shul on 46th street in Boro Park.
The Silber family has a long tradition of Rabbonus in Boro Park—when the old Freimaner Rov, Rav Refoel Silber, opened his Shul here many years ago.
Mrs. Silber had been courageously battling an illness for a number of years. Throughout this time, she maintained her grace and sensitivity—going to great lengths so that others would not be inconvenienced by her needs. She supported her husband in his learning with great mesirus nefesh.
Sadly she passed away this morning, leaving behind a husband and two young children.
The levaya will take place at the Freimaner Shul, 1260 46th Street, at 12:00.
Yehi Zichra Baruch.
