BDE: Mrs. Ruchel Grossman, a”h

 We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Grossman. She was 94 years of age.

 The nifteres was born in Budapest to her parents, Reb Shmuel and Sarah Kohn. Her father was a Chazan in Budapest. Her mother was fortunate to survive the war along with her four sisters, as they were hidden by a family in the suburbs, while her father was tragically taken in the great Churban Europa.

 She married Reb Shaya Grossman, an ardent Kashauer talmid, who served as the longtime president of the Alesker Beis Medrash in Kensington. He was niftar in 1989.

 She was known for her chessed and yiras Shomayim. She would go to the hospitals to bring packages, and recite much tehillim. She was beloved by all who knew her, and is remembered for her eidelkeit.

 Among her children are the founders of the legendary shoe palace stores in Boro Park, all of whom she raised to Torah and yiras Shomayim.

 The Levaya will take place in Shomrei Hadas at 6:30 today
