We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Reb Avrohom Liphshitz, z”l, a beloved and admired chaver within the kehillos of Toldos Yehuda-Stuchin, and Khal Emunas Yisroel. He was 61, and had been diagnosed with an illness a mere few weeks ago.

The niftar hailed from generations of Stuchiner chassidim— from both his father and his mother’s side.

His father, Reb Naftuli, was a Holocaust survivor who came to Boro Park to reestablish his life. He sent his son to learn in the Stoliner yeshiva in Boro Park, and he never lost the ahavas haTorah that he acquired there. He was known as a tremendous talmid chochom, even as he worked hard to earn a parnassah.

He split his tefillos between Toldos Yehuda-Stuchin and Khal Emunas Yisroel—and his avodas hatefillah, filled with yearning and superhuman energy, was legendary in both these shuls.

He was the designated ba’al tefillah for pesukei d’zimra on Yomim Nora’im in Stuchin, and as chassidim describe it, the mesikus that he invested into the words could melt hearts.

In recent years, he drove a bus for the Rachmastriva cheder, a calling that he executed with utmost sincerity and dedication up until his diagnosis. He was diagnosed with an illness just over a month ago, and did not cease in his avodas Hashem—despite the immense challenges.

Sadly, he succumbed to the illness Wednesday afternoon.

Raised a family of bnei Torah and chashuve families which are an everlasting credit to him.

The levaya took place at Emunas Yisroel Wednesday night at 10:00, and the kevurah is taking place Thursday afternoon in Bnei Brak.

Yehi Zichro Baruch.
