BDE: R’ Yehuda Leib Kowalenko, z”l

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of R’ Yehuda Leib Kowalenko, a beloved member of the Bobov-45 chasidus. He was 70 years of age.
R’ Yehuda Leib was born in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, where there was a large contingent of Bobover Chassidim. He learned in the Bobover yeshiva there and became tethered to the Bobover Ruv with heart and soul.
Later in life, he davened steadily at the Kossoner Shul on 18th Avenue and at Khal Beis Chaim Yehoshua.
He was very close with the Rebbe of Bobov-45.
The niftar worked for years at B & H Photo, where he was a beloved figure and an address for anyone in need of a good word. Many people will remember his ever-present smile and friendly demeanor.
His passing was sudden and has thrown his family, friends, and acquaintances into deep mourning.
The Levaya will take place at the Bobov- 45 Shul, 1362 49th street, at 10 a.m.
