BDE: Reb Avraham Aaron Klein, z"l

YS GOLD

We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Avraham Aaron Klein, z"l, a longtime Boro Park resident and a pillar of the Viener Kehillah. He was 78 years of age.

The niftar was born in Czekeslovakia in the aftermath of the Holocaust to his parents, Reb Menachem and Feiga Klein.

Coming to America, the family joined the Viener Kehillah in Williamsburg, and Reb Avraham Aaron became an ardent talmid of the Viener/Hodhazer Rov, Rav Ezriel Yehuda Lebovics, zt"l, and absorbed a burning love for Torah that would remain with him for a lifetime.

He was a tremendous talmid chochom, who loved learning. For decades--despite being a balebos--he delivered a Daf Yomi shiur in Vien. The shiur was delivered with incredible energy, recall members of the kehillah. It was always so lively and geshmak--all on account of the maggid shiur who invested so much toil into the shiur.

He was unwell for a number of years, and endured yisurim, before his passing on Thursday evening, leaving behind a beautiful Torah family with a number of Talmidei chachomim among them. With the passing of Reb Avraham Aaron, the Viener Kehillah in Boro Park has lost a true pillar.

The levaya took place in Shomrei Hadas at 10:00 this morning.

Yehi zichro baruch.
