BDE: Reb Avrohom Aaron Kornbluh, z”l, Beloved Member of Boro Park Community Taken Prematurely

We deeply regret to inform you of the untimely petirah of R’ Avrohom Aaron Kornbluh, z”l, a beloved member of the Belzer chassidus and of the Boro Park community in general. He also davened in the Loyever Beis Medrash on 21st Avenue. He was the proprietor of a restaurant on Thirteenth Avenue with a heart of gold, and was fifty years old at the time of his passing.  

The niftar was born in London to his father, ybl”ch, Reb Yitzchok Eliyahu Kornbluh, and married the daughter of Reb Yosef Stark of Boro Park, settling here after his marriage. 

Neighbors and friends remember a beloved member of the community who would go out of his way to help anyone, anywhere. 

A dear friend recalls. “He was an amazing, kindhearted person. I don’t believe there is anyone, anywhere, who can recall having an argument with him.” 

As the owner of a dairy restaurant, he would regularly donate food to organizations. The heads of organizations would offer him money for the expensive food that cost R’ Avrohom Aaron a lot of money. But he would refuse, saying, “I will not give up this mitzvah.” 

Even during his darkest times of suffering, all he had was a smile, and compassion for others who were suffering. A friend recalls taking him for chemotherapy treatments. “When he came out of this hospital, he said, ‘It’s so difficult to see people suffering so much.’”   

Even in the last weeks of his life, he would come to the beis medrash with great mesirus nefesh… with his last ounces of strength… There he would sit, with a smile, saying Tehillim, davening and learning.  

Family and friends of the niftar are feeling a terrible void and deep pain at this untimely loss.
