YS GOLD

We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Avrohom Moshe Lowy, a major philanthropist and ba’al tzedakah. He was 68 years of age.

The niftar was the son of Reb Lipa Lowy, an ardent Satmar chossid, and Reb Avrohom Moshe was among the first generation following the Holocaust upon which all the hopes and dreams of the Holocaust generation were pinned. He learned in the Satmar Torah institutions, and was among the bachurim who learned in the famed “Sands Street” yeshiva.

Reb Avrohom Moshe earned his parnassah in the plastics business, but he didn’t keep his wealth to himself. He distributed incredible sums of money to those in need, as well as supporting Torah institutions. In recent years, he only stepped up his giving, donating the Satmar Beis Medrash Ohel Moshe on 18th Avenue and 58th Street.

He recently dedicated the main entrance to the Satmar girls’ school which is being built on 14th Avenue and 62nd Street, as well as donating a building in Machane Rav Tov girls camp, and he would give generously to anyone in need with an open heart.

He merited a close relationship with the Admorim of Satmar, Bobov, Spinka and more, and he merited beautiful Torah generations.

Reb Avrohom Moshe was unwell in recent years, and returned his neshamah to its maker on Sunday evening.

The Levaya took place at the Dzibo beis medrash, where he was a frequent mispalel, and kevurah took place in Kiryas Yoel.

Yehi zichro baruch.
