BDE: Reb Moishe Yaakov Waxman, z"l

We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Moishe Waxman, z"l, a longtime Boro Park resident. He was 51 years of age, and struggled with his health since Covid. 

The niftar was the son of, ybl"ch, Reb Eliyahu and Leah Tzirel Waxman, and was born and raised in Boro Park. He learned in the Bobover Yeshiva, and later in Lakewood. 

He was a brilliant man who possessed an increible amount of worldly knowledge. As an amateur meteorologist, he provided regular weather updates called "Veterbaricht," and had thousands of followers who appreciated his professionalism and knowledge. He did this for free, out of a sense of passion for his craft and to help other people. 

A friend recalls that Reb Moshe would do a favor for anyone whenever he could.

Simultanously, he worked for close to thirty years as a special education rebbi in Far Rockaway, and devoted himself with heart and soul to his talmidim, leaving upon them an impact for life. 

He struggled with health challenges for a number of years, but always appreciated the gifts that he was given, including a wonderful wife, and two sons who are tremendous talmidei chachomim.
