BDE: Reb Shmaya Loeffler, z"l

We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Shmaya Loeffler, a well-known personality in the Boro Park community. He was 91 years of age. 

The niftar was known for his ehrlichkeit, his emunah peshutah, and his ever-present joy. In his work as a plumber, he helped many people in the community. One neighbor remembers his constant humor, always with a smile on his lips. 

Reb Shmaya lost a daughter and son-in-law in a tragic fire in Boro Park a number of years ago. But he never complained, and always maintained his faith in the Ribbono shel Olam. 

He resided on the block of the Belzer shtiebel on 43rd Street, and for many years would be the first one to open the shul in the early hours of the morning. 

The niftar was an ardent Klausenberger chassid, having been connected to the previous Rebbe, and to the current Rebbe as well. 

The levaya will take place at 10:00 Friday morning at shomrei hadas, and the aron will be flown to Eretz Yisroel for kevurah after shabbos.
