BDE: Reb Simcha Yisochor Dov Steinmetz, z”l, 100 Years Old

YS GOLD

We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Simcha Yisochor Dov Steinmetz, z”l, a longtime Boro Park resident and a great Torah philanthropist. He was 100 years of age.

The niftar was born in the Hungarian town of Tetsh, to his father, Reb Yechiel Michel Steinmetz.

He endured the horrors of the Holocaust, but emerged strong in his emunah and determined to rebuild.

Over the remainder of his century of life, he dedicated himself to Torah, and to Torah causes—supporting Torah with great generosity.

Reb Simcha served as the longtime Rosh Hakahal of the Linzer Beis Medrash in Boro Park, and counted himself among the distinguished Spinka chassidim.

The levaya will take place at the Linzer Beis Medrash on 15th Avenue at 11:30, and will pass the Tartikover Kollel thereafter.

Yehi zichro baruch.
