BDE: Reb Yosef Tzvi Grossberger, z"l

We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Yossel Grossberger, a longtime Boro Park resident, a beloved personality, and an exceptional ba'al menagen. He was 77 years of age. 

The niftar learned in the Nitra Yeshiva in Mount Kisco in his youth, and there he absorbed a lifelong love for Torah. 

He was extremely close to the legendary Reb Benzion Schenker, and he is said to have mastered nearly all of the thousands of Modzitzer Niggunim. When in Eretz Yisroel, he would frequent the Modzitzer court and would be asked to sing niggunim there. 

He was known for his kind heart and his giving nature. "They don't make them this way anymore," remarked a longtime acquaintance. 

The levaya took place in Shomrei Hadas on Sunday afternoon.
