BDE: Reb Yosef Tzvi Radziminsky, z”l

By: Yehuda Alter

We are deeply saddened to inform you of the passing of R’ Yosef Tzvi Radziminsky, z”l, an exemplary individual, a mechanech, initiator of Torah programs, oved Hashem and man of peace. He was around 53, and had battled an illness for the last few months.

The niftar was born in Australia, and moved to America in his youth.

He was an ardent Gerer chossid to his core, and was constantly involved in building Torah initiatives within the chassidus. He founded the Gerer Shtiebel, Beis Yehuda Aryeh on 64th Street. Given his peaceful demeanor, he was the central pillar of the Shtiebel, bringing everyone together around the ideals of Torah and chassidus.

He was a melamed Yeshiva Ch’san Sofer for decades, where he shaped the young children in the ways of Torah and yiras Shomayim, leaving a lifelong impression on them.

He also founded a program for married men to test themselves on large amounts of Gemara. Not a man of means, he raised large sums of money every month to pay the stipends—all in pursuit of his goal of increasing Torah learning in Klal Yisroel.

This loss is a searing one for the family and for the Gerer Chassidus.

The levaya will take place at Shomrei Hadas this afternoon at 6:30.

Yehi Zichro Baruch.
