BDE: Rebbetzin Sarah Halberstam, a”h

We are saddnened to inform of the passing of Rebbetzin Halberstam, a daughter of the previous Strizover Rebbe, at the untimely age of 63.

She hailed from a home that traced its way to Rabbonim and Admorim. She was the granddaughter of Reb Chananya Yom Tov Lipa Honig of London who published the sifrei Maharal and made them available to the broader public, and was grew up in the home of Rav Moshe Leib Horowitz, the Strizover Rebbe of Boro Park.

Despite many challenges, she was always cheerful, and her many acquaintances remember her as a true lev tov, who always saw the good in everyone. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

A few weeks ago, she came down with an infection, and sadly succumbed to complications from this infection.

Her levaya took place at the Strizover Beis Medrash in Boro Park, where she was mourned by the many who knew and admired her.
