BPJCC Continues Popular Health Workshops for Boro Park With New Free Fall Series for Women
By M.C. Millman
The Boro Park JCC continues its free health workshops given in partnership with JOWMA and the Boro Park Y by top local doctors in recognition of the importance of keeping our families healthy and designed explicitly with the Boro Park community in mind.
The newest weekly health series for women will take place on Monday, November 14, with Dr. Jackie Benayoun presenting on the topic of Keeping up With Colds in Your Kinderlach. Thursday, November 17, will focus on Living Your Best Life in the Golden Years and will be presented by Dr. Esther Schmidt-Pines. The final event in the Fall Women’s series will take place on Wednesday, November 23, on the topic of Is It Really ADHD? Getting the Proper Diagnosis for Your Child. Dr. Sarah Becker will deliver the final workshop. The seminars will be presented at Boro Park on 4912 14th Avenue.
“The importance of guarding one’s health cannot be overstated,” says Avi Greenstein, CEO of BPJCC. “It’s something Boro Parkers appreciate as a whole. This particular series for women is just one of the workshops we plan to roll out as the new year progresses. We’re grateful for the community’s keen interest in the BPJCC’s health endeavors!”
In addition to working towards improving the health of all Boro Parkers through free health seminars, the BPJCC has published its second edition of the Boro Park Health Journal. The magazine is published under the leadership of the Boro Park doctor’s advisory board and offers guidance for all of the BPJCC’s health initiatives. Close to 20,000 copies have been printed and are available at no charge throughout Boro Park in local supermarkets, medical facilities, and shopping centers.
