BREAKING: Egged bus jumps sidewalk in Jerusalem, killing three, injuring more

Around 9:00 this evening, as the bus stop was filled with waiting passengers, a large Egged bus jumped the sidewalk on Rechov Shamgar in Yerushalayim, instantly killing three people. 

A number more were injured, one seriously and several others lightly. 

This area--adjacent to Osher Ad, and other shopping centers-- is always packed with people on Thursday nights, and this week was no different. People familiar with the area say it is a miracle there were not more casualties. 

Almost eerily, a very similar accident occurred one block away from this spot earlier this week.
