Bus-ted! Driver of Stolen American Airlines Bus Arrested After 17 Mile Joyride

by M.C. Millman

An American Airlines bus left idling and unattended at JFK's airport's Lot 12 early this morning in Brooklyn was taken for a joy ride for seventeen miles that traversed three boroughs.

Brooklyn resident Burshawn Quildon, 43, boarded the empty employee bus around 2 a.m. and took off down the Grand Central Parkway. An airport employee followed the bus and called 911.

Quildon continued his tour of New York and drove into Manhattan and along the FDR Drive. After crossing the Brooklyn Bridge, he discovered officers in wait at Cadman Plaza West, where he was pulled over.

Quildon was on probation and has a criminal record and a domestic violence background. His last arrest was for a domestic robbery in 2015, but he has numerous other arrests, including robbery, marijuana possession, assault, and transit fraud.

He was promptly arrested and charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of the stolen property.
