Captured Moment: Rav Gold Attends His Inauguration
YS GOLD
This week’s captured moment takes us to the higher streets of Boro Park where in 1928, Rabbi Wolf Gold assumed the pulpit of one of Boro Park’s oldest Shuls.
This photograph shows him coming through the gates of the shul which are very much still stationary.
Can any of our readers pinpoint the location?
___
Answer to last week’s captured moment:
As many of our readers have aptly pinpointed, the Shul Beis Haknesses Livnei Yisroel was located on 12th Avenue and 45th Street. It was later the home of the Yemenite Shul for many years, until it was brought down and developed into a kollel and apartments.
