This week’s captured moment takes us to the very outskirts of Boro Park where Rav Shepsel Friedman of Stavisk had his Shul—“Neve Shalom of Mapleton Park”— in the 1920’s for 24 years.

As numerous readers correctly pointed out, the vintage photograph that we presented last week is of the building that stands at 13th Avenue and 54th Street. This location has been the home of multiple eating establishments for as long as anyone can remember.
