Captured Moment: The Posek’s Beis Medrash

On 16th Avenue in the center of Boro Park stands a beis medrash which was led by one of the previous generation’s great poskim of Ashkenazic extraction. Today, it is led by his son who is likewise a prominent posek in Boro Park.

Last week’s captured moment featured a 1990’s photo of the Boyaner Hadlakah. At the time, the Boyaner kloiz was located at 1423 57th Street. The hadlakah photographed here was lit nearby, at the corner of 14th Avenue and 56th Street, where Tov Me’od grocery is located today.
