Fallsburg Fire Friday Night Destroys Boosur Deli

A Fallsburg building fire challenged firefighters for over six hours on Friday night, destroying Boosur deli, and injuring three firefighters

Last night's blaze follows closely on the heels of another fire on July 17, right across the street. This past summer's fire burned down two buildings, including Spoons restaurant.

Multiple fire departments from Sullivan and Ulster County were dispatched to battle the blaze at the structure, which dates back to 1922. 

The fire department assisted the Fallsburg Fire Department from Woodridge, Monticello, Rock Hill, Hurleyville, Loch Sheldrake, Mountaindale, Grahamsville, Liberty, Summitville, Ellenville, Wurtsboro, Town of Bethel Fast, BC-3, and FC Hauschild. 

Other emergency personnel at the scene included Mobilemedic EMS, Woodbourne First Aid Squad, Fallsburg Police Department, Code Enforcement, NYS Department of Transportation, and the American Red Cross were on hand to help displaced residents.
