First Time Kehila Announcement: Bobover Rebbe Voted in the Elections

By BoroPark24 Staff

In an unprecedented public announcement, the Bobover kehila confirmed that the Rebbe personally cast his vote in the current New York City mayoral elections, highlighting what kehila leaders are calling an “extraordinary moment for Klal Yisroel in New York.”

The message was delivered by askan Reb Yoel Rosenfeld via a phone call to the entire kehila, emphasizing the importance of every community member taking part.

“Mi Ro’eh Eili Yoitzem Ve’loi Yoitze? - Who can see the Rebbe voting and not follow?” Reb Yoel declared, urging all eligible members to cast their ballots.

This public confirmation follows the Rebbe’s landmark statement two months ago, in which he stressed that registering to vote is a full-fledged takana of the kehila, equal in importance to any other rule or standard upheld in the mosdos. He emphasized that every member over the age of 17 should be registered, noting the critical challenges facing Torah life and the future stability of Klal Yisroel in New York.

Alongside the voter turnout push, the Askanim of the Bobover kehila formally announced its endorsement of Andrew Cuomo in the mayoral race, and Simcha Felder in the City Council 44 district race. Kehila representatives stated that the endorsement reflects what they see as the best path for the needs and security of the community, and for the future of frum life in New York City.
