“America’s comeback starts right now,” said Former President Donald Trump to a crowd cheering “U.S.A.” at his home at Mar-a-Lago in Florida before announcing his candidacy to run for president in 2024.
After a long speech in which Trump blamed Biden for everything from high inflation, to high gas prices, to allowing in countless migrants who bring in drugs, to “radical left wing lunacy,” Trump claimed, “I am your voice.
“The Washington establishment wants to silence us, but we won’t let them do that.”
After characterizing the four years when he served as president as a time when everyone of every race and religion was at peace, the US knew no enemies, and the US economy thrived, Trump said he would again return the United States to the idyllic state he claimed it enjoyed during his presidency.
“I am running because I believe we have not yet seen what this nation can truly be.
"We can go very far, but first we have to get out of this ditch.
“It is called the United States of America, and it is an amazing.
“The corridors of power are our corridors, and we are coming to take those corridors back.
“So from now until Election Day in 2024, I will fight like no one has ever fought before.”
