Friends and Colleagues Pay Respects to Longtime Local Sanitation Worker

A funeral was held Monday morning for Mr. John Miley, a longtime dedicated sanitation worker in BK12—which covers Boro Park—for 22 years. 

Hundreds of his colleagues from the sanitation department were at the private funeral at the Joseph A. Brizzi Funeral Home in Boro Park, many of them in uniform. 

A sanitation official explained, exclusively to BoroPark24, that Mr. Miley did not pass away while on duty, and thus, this was not an official department funeral, but rather a private family affair that saw an outpouring of love and admiration from longtime colleagues who worked with Mr. Miley in cleaning the Boro Park neighborhood.
