Heichal Menachem of Boro Park to be Renamed in Honor of Legendary Choizer and Mashpiah
Heichal Menachem has been disseminating
chassidus in the Boro Park community for decades, featuring a vast library of
Chassidic works, as well as a large audio library—with shiurim elucidating the
deep chassidic concepts.
As we have reported, in recent weeks, Rav Yoel Kahan, zt”l, the legendary “Choizer” who memorized and elucidated the talks of the previous Lubavitcher Rebbe, zy”a, for seven decades, was niftar at the age of ninety.
Disseminating chassidus was his life’s mission and he would come to Boro Park on a regular basis to deliver shiurim in Tanya, and other works of chassidus, at Heichal Menachem—with a total of 2,000 shiurim delivered in Boro Park along with over the decades.
It is thus fitting that Heichal Menachem will be renovating a 4,000 square foot space at the corner of 16th Avenue and 52nd Street to serve as a beautiful center for learning chassidus.
It will be named “Beis Reb Yoel” in tribute to his incredible work which will continue to live on for decades to come.
