Historic Shabbos with the Sadigerer Rebbe in Boro Park

At the young age of 24, the Sadigerer Rebbe Shlit”a, was tasked to lead the holy dynasty of Ruzin-Sadigur, by his late father the previous Sadigerer Rebbe Ztz”l, who passed away from an illness just over a year ago.

While the nerve center of the chassidus is situated in Bnei Brak, Sadigerer chassidim can be found in communities throughout the world, and the Rebbe Shlit”a arrived to New York this past week for a two-week visit to celebrate a wedding, Hachnusas Sefer Torah and be with his many Chasidim in Boro Park and Lakewood.

The Rebbe Shlit”a spent this Shabbos in Boro Park where the Tefilos and Tishen were conducted in the Eminence ballroom on 16th Ave and 44th Street. Throughout Shabbos, thousands were seen making their way there, beginning Friday afternoon for Mincha and Kabulas Shabbos, till after the Zman Motze Shabbos when the Rebbe wished Git Voch to all those who wished to receive a Brachah.

The climax of the Shabbos was the Friday night Tish when the ballroom, especially outfitted to accommodate the large crowd, was filled with thousands of people standing in silence and keeping their eyes on the Rebbe Shlit”a—in keeping with the Ruziner tradition—was seated at the helm, exuding an air of royalty, while singing Zmiros and saying Divrei Torah.

The memories and insightful words shared by the Rebbe Shlit”a will be cherished and remembered by the thousands who attended throughout Shabbos, and caught a glimpse of the holy Avodah.
