Hundreds of Rabbonim from Greater New York Take Part in Important Asifah

Recently, the Continental Hall was filled with prominent rabbonim on Wednesday who gathered for an asifah called by Hisachdus Harabanim to discuss important issues faced by their communities.

Representing Boro Park on the dais were Rav Yechiel Michel Steinmetz, Skverer Dayan, the two Sgan Dayanim of Bobov, Rav Binyomin Laundau, Tosher Dayan of Boro Park, Rav Shia Rubin, Ruv of Bobov-45, and the Burshtiner Rebbe.

Among the issues discussed was the recent discovery of coins for pidyon haben which turned out to be unkosher for the mitzvah. There are currently also non-kosher mezuzos on the market, and this issue was addressed as well. The Rabbonim also dealt with the issue of the sale of unfiltered phones, and other issues related to technology. 

The meeting culminated after three hours, with the rabbonim emerging with new resolve to tackle the issues of the day for the sake of future generations.
