In Tribute: Mrs. Yittel Leser, a”h

We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Yittel Leser, a longtime Boro Park resident, a matriarch of a beautiful Torah family who was supremely dedicated to caring for them.

She was 77 years of age, and passed away following an illness. 

The nifteres was the daughter of Reb Zecharya Aryeh Horowitz who was very ill when she was a girl. The family relates that her devotion to caring for her father during his years of illness—until his passing shortly after her wedding— was legendary. Her devotion to caring for her mother was likewise incredible. 

She married Reb Shulem Leibish Leser, an ardent Bobover chossid. Together, they established a beautiful family of chassidim and ovdei Hashem.

The nifteres was known for her selflessness, always there to help another person, while for herself she needed very little. She lived with old-fashioned values and hashkafos, and was never heard speaking about the negative; even during her times of suffering, she always remained positive.  

Sadly, she passed away after a short illness over Shabbos. 

The levaya took place Sunday afternoon in front of the Bobover Beis Medrash.
