Israel to Grant Entry to Students who are Not Vaccinated, Nor Recovered from COVID

Israel is now allowing students who are not vaccinated, nor recovered from COVID to enter the country, for the first time since Nov. 1, 2021, Rabbi Nechemya Malinowitz told Yeshiva World News.

Although non-vaccinated students will receive “red notices” on their pre-flight forms, as long as they have valid visas, students and their children will be allowed to board airplanes and later be granted entry to Israel, Chaim v’Chessed said.

As a result, seminary students and yeshiva bochurim who are not vaccinated, nor recovered, will be allowed to fly home for Pesach and return to Israel Isru Chag.

In addition, parents of children who are too young to be vaccinated will no longer need to secure special permits to enter Israel.

Chaim V’Chessed, which is calling airlines to ensure they are aware of Israel’s updated rules, reported that the organization has been called upon “on a daily basis” to arrange permits for families who were stuck outside of Israel.

Yesterday, nine Jewish families, who had non-vaccinated members, were stuck outside of Israel, and called Chaim V’Chessed for assistance.
