Khal Givat Shaul d’Krule Gathers to Celebrate and Strengthen Torah Initiatives
The Krule Beis Medrash in Boro Park has stood at the corner
of 51st Street and Eleventh Avenue since 1961, serving this area of
Boro Park as a bustling center for Torah and tefillah
It was led by the previous Rebbe, Rav Moshe Chaim Gold, zt”l,
who was succeeded by his son, the current Rebbe, Rav Yaakov Shamshon, shlit”a.
Chaburas Toras Chaim is an initiative within the kehillah
which promotes a framework for Torah learning for members of the kehillah. It
is named for the previous Krule Rebbe. Two hundred and forty people participate
in the chaburah, attending any of the five daily shiurim in the masechta
being learned. Close to two hundred take regular bechinos in the
masechta.
Last night, approaching the third yohrtzeit of the
previous Rebbe, a large siyum—drawing hundreds from within the
kehillah—was held at Paradise Manor, and recognized the incredible Torah
accomplishments in the kehillah as they completed Maseches Sukkah, and is set
to commence Brachos. This is event also served as the launch of a new daily
halacha program in Kitzur Shulchan Aruch.
The siyum was addressed by prominent Rabbonim, many of whom
invoked the memory of the previous Rebbe, zt”l, whose memory continues to
inspire the kehillah as they continue grow in Torah accomplishments
together.
