Liska Kehilah Unveils Plans for New Shul

The Liska Kehilah is set to build a new Bais Medrash at their current location on 50th Street between 14th and 15th Avenues.

This new shul will rise on the same site where the previous Liska Rebbe, Rav Yoizef Friedlander zy’a, established Khal Ateres Tzvi M'Liska in 1947.

Originally, Boro Park lacked Chasidic institutions, but the Liska shul was one of the first Chassidish Batei Midrash in the post-Holocaust era, paving the way for the largest Chasidic community in the U.S. The new Bais Medrash will honor the legacy of Rav Tzvi Hersh of Liska, the revered founder of the Liska dynasty.

The new shul will feature a blend of old-world charm and modern design, including Heichal HaTorah, Heichal Tefillah, a beautiful  Mikva, a Shuirim room, and a big Ezras Nashim.
