Mayor Adams Urges President Trump to Restart Empire Wind Project

Mayor Eric Adams is calling on President Trump to restart the Empire Wind Project, which will feed power to the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal.
The mayor believes restarting the project would provide power to 500,000 homes, create over 1,000 jobs, and strengthen the city’s electricity grid.
The project was halted last week during construction. The Trump administration stopped it because it was concerned that it was rushed without enough review.
Adams added that his administration is working with the U.S. Department of the Interior to push for the project’s revival.
