By Yehudit Garmaise

Mayor Bill de Blasio provided his good wishes to Jewish New Yorkers on erev Yom Kippur, this morning at his press conference.

“Tonight is a very special and holy night for Jewish New Yorkers,” Mayor de Blasio said. “I want to wish everyone: after all we have been through, as you prepare tonight-

“I want to wish everyone an easy fast and a meaningful Yom Kippur.”

The mayor called Yom Kippur “a time of reflection after one of the toughest times we have all lived through.

“But then we prepare for better times ahead.

“So I offer my wishes to all Jewish New Yorkers at this special time.”
