Mayor Eric Adams paid a visit to his hometown, in Queens, with a strict warning to the cops on his first day as Mayor.

As a teen who was abused and beaten Adams is passionate about protecting his city.

The mayor cautioned the police officers of the repercussions they would face for mistreating the people they serve.

“I’m going to have your backs. But if you are abusive to my community, I’m going to make sure you don’t serve in my department and you don’t hurt your fellow officers,” he said.
