Montauk Public School On 16th Ave And 42nd St Undergoing Playground Construction

A major construction project is underway at the I.S. 223 Montauk public school on 42nd Street in Boro Park. 

Their playground area, which is now a bare lot, will be turned into an exciting playground and sports area for the students. 

The construction plans include a beautiful running track around a sports field, with bleachers on the side for spectators. There will also be basketball, volleyball and badminton courts for the students to play a variety of sports.  

Additionally, students and local residents will be able to play and work out at the fitness area, and enjoy some relaxation at the many picnic tables, game tables, and under the shade of the many new trees that will be planted. 

The project is expected to be completed by the spring of 2025.
