MTA Cracking Down On Toll Evasion
By BoroPark24 Staff
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced that toll aversion can now result in a lifetime ban of using the MTA bridges.
They revealed that 66 drivers were banned from ever using MTA bridges again due to unpaid tolls totaling over $700,000. The top offender alone owes over $200,000 in unpaid tolls.
The MTA is collaborating with the NYPD to crack down on “ghost vehicles”- cars that are unregistered, stolen, or uninsured.
