*NEW WEEKLY FEATURE* Shiur Scene: A Weekly Glimpse into Boro Park’s Shiurim

We’re excited to launch a new weekly feature on BoroPark24, highlighting Shiurei Torah around town, the foundation and heartbeat of our community.

And how else could we begin, if not with the legendary Shomer Shabbos Shul on 13th Avenue. A bustling center of Torah and tefillah throughout the full 24-hour cycle of the day, the shul is constantly alive with mispallelim and lomdei Torah. Among its many highlights is the beloved “Zoberman Shiur,” which draws a warm and steady crowd each and every day.

The shiur took root, and eventually earned worldwide recognition, through the leadership of HaGaon Reb Moshe Tzvi Zoberman zt”l, who delivered it for decades. Those who were zocheh to learn there still speak about his unique geshmak and chein, paired with a sparkling wellspring of knowledge and wisdom that made every word come alive.

Even after the passing of the maggid shiur, following a lengthy illness, the shiur continues today through his son, HaGaon Reb Elkunah Zoberman shlit”a, who carries forward the torch of Torah his father ignited and preserves a legacy so beautiful and enduring.
