New York Lotteries Surge to More Than $400 Million

  Some New Yorkers have “lottery fever” this week as two winners of the New York Powerball and the MegaMillions lotteries will collect prizes that exceed $400 million.

   After last week’s MegaMillions lottery drawing brought no winner, the winning amount surged from $401 million to $432 million.

   The winning check of the Powerball this week has reached $401 million.

   The next drawing for the MegaMillions will take place on Jan. 5, while the Powerball drawing will take place on Jan. 6.
