Newark Airport Faces Major Delays Ahead of Thanksgiving Weekend

The FAA has issued ground delays at Newark Airport, reportedly due to staffing shortages. The delays are expected to last until 2 a.m. Thursday morning.

Officials had previously warned that shortages among air traffic controllers and other personnel could lead to ground stops at major airports.

Approximately 3.2 million travelers are expected to pass through local airports over the Thanksgiving weekend.
