A Young Jewish Girl Fatally Struck by Bus in Flatbush This Morning

A 15-year-old girl from Flatbush was struck by a yellow school bus on her way to school, YWN reported this morning. Sadly, EMS and Flatbush Hatzolah pronounced the girl dead when they arrived at the scene on Bedford Ave and Avenue P. 

The victim was struck while the bus was turning and it appears that the driver was unaware that he had hit the girl.

The streets were closed to traffic and the NYPD is investigating the incident.  

A Terrorist Attempts to Stab IDF Soldier 

A terrorist, armed with a knife, approached several IDF soldiers at a bus station in Gush Etzion and attempted to stab one, Monday afternoon. 

The soldier opened fire, neutralizing the man, according to the IDF. The knife was recovered at the scene and a short while later the driver of the vehicle that dropped off the terrorist turned himself into Israeli Security Forces.  

Texas Rabbi Charlie Cytron Shares his Experience 

Rabbi Charlie Cytron, among the four people held at gunpoint this Shabbos, said he and the remaining hostages were able to flee the scene after he hurled a chair at the attacker. 

In his interview, Cytron told CBS that towards the last hour of the ordeal he and the others grew “terrified” when they saw that their captor was not getting what he wanted. At a point when the attacker wasn’t in a good position, the rabbi made his move and the three remaining hostages were able to flee without a shot being fired.
