NYPD Officer from 66 Precinct Shot in Robbery Gone Wrong in East New York

An off-duty NYPD officer from Boro Park’s 66th Precinct was shot and critically wounded in a robbery gone wrong on Saturday evening in East New York.

The incident happened around 7:00pm on Ruby St., between Linden Blvd. and Dumont Ave, when the officer was trying to purchase a car off an online marketplace.

A bullet struck the officer in his head, critically wounding him, during a hold-up robbery gone wrong. He was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
