The NYPD unveiled their latest vehicle to join the fleet, a new Crime Stoppers truck which will further spread the reach of the Crime Stoppers program.
The first Crime Stoppers truck was unveiled in 2018 with the express purpose of spreading the word about the Crime Stoppers initiative. The program, which offers rewards for anonymous tips and information that lead to the arrest of criminals, was looking for additional ways to spread the word on the street in addition to their campaign on social media.
“Today, we are excited to unveil our brand-new Crime Stoppers truck! This initiative is a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to enhance community safety and support crime prevention,” First Deputy Commissioner of the NYPD Tony Kinsella said on X, formerly Twitter. “We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the New York City Police Foundation, whose unwavering support made this project possible. Their commitment to our mission reinforces the strong partnership between our organization and law enforcement, allowing us to better serve our community.”
