Perspective: Historic Shabbos in Boro Park as Thousands Throng to Tzaddikim

Rashi says that at a time when a Tzadik is in the city, that is its beauty, its niceness and its shine. Boro Park this week Friday night, witnessed the true meaning of this.

“It looks like Rosh Hashana night, when everyone goes to their Rebbe and parents to say Lshuna Tova,” one person was heard saying, but that is what Boro Park truly looked like.

The streets were full of men, walking to see the two esteemed guests that conducted Tishen in Boro Park this week shabbos. The Admo”r of Sadigur, and the Rosh Yeshiva, Haguon Reb Shaul Alter Shlit”a, who both landed in America for visits with their followers, a first for the two Rabonim.

The walk up 16th Avenue from 44th street, where the Sadigur Rebbe conducted his Tish in the Eminence ballroom, till 52nd Street and 18th Ave, where the Rosh Yeshiva Reb Shaul Shlit”a conducted his Tish, was a sight that Boro Park has truly never seen on a regular shabbos, just thousands of people walking the streets to see the faces and attend the Tishen of the two Gedolim.

Boro Park can truly say on this shabbos, ‘B’zman Shehatzadik Buir, Hu Hoido, Hu Zivo, V’hu Hadorah.’
