Readers Write: Hey, Seniors! See You on Sunday at Ateres Chaya!

We all want to make a difference – me included which is why I decided to share with BoroPark24 readers that this Sunday, is going to be your chance to do something that will make a difference in your life if you are a senior. 

Last year, I wasn’t so sure, but I figured I would go and check out the Senior Expo given by the BPJCC. If it wasn’t for me, I could always leave after a short while, but that’s not what happened. I went, and I stayed. I stayed through the speakers, I spoke TO the speakers. As I made my way around the booths, collecting tzatckes here and there, it was like every vendor there was speaking to me about things that mattered to me as a senior. 

I had questions I didn’t even know I needed answered until I went to last year’s expo and this year – I am going to make sure as many seniors as possible are right there with me because this expo made a huge difference in my life. 

I took home the 60+ Senior guidebook and referred to it throughout the year – and this year, I see there’s going to be a  new updated version. I’m going to take that home too. I’m going to make it my business to hear from Dr. Nir Uriel because he saved my brother-in-law’s life plus whoever else I can fit in during the day. (I have from 11 – 5:30 so there’s plenty of time.)

Believe me, it’s not like I have nothing better to do. I have a busy enough schedule. I have my classes. I have grandchildren. I have obligations, but this Sunday – I have to take care of myself and do what’s going to help my future. 

I’m going to be at the BPJCC’s Golden Years Expo at Ateres Chaya, 1415 54th Street on Sunday. And I hope you are going to be there too.
