Slonimer Chassidim to Welcome the Rebbe for an Uplifted Visit

Slominer chassidim in Boro Park are elated to be welcoming the Slominer Rebbe shlit"a who will arrive today for a short visit to Boro Park. Among the items on the Rebbe's agenda will be the beginning of the writing of a sefer Torah by the Boro Park kehillah. It will be known as "the shtiebel's sefer Torah." 

The Rebbe has been visiting New York every year for a number of years now for the purpose of strengthening and inspiring his chassidim in Monsey and Brooklyn, alternating between the two communities. Although the Rebbe stayed in Monsey for an extended visit, conducting an elevated Shabbos with the chassidim, he will be visiting once again for the writing of this Sefer Torah. 

The Rebbe will arrive in Boro Park on Tuesday morning, and the hascholas kesivas sefer Torah will take place at seven o'clock in the evening at the shtiebel which is located on 46th Street. This event will also serve as a farewell event for the Rebbe as he sets to depart home for Eretz Yisroel.
