The man police had been searching for in connection with Friday’s early morning hit-and-run that killed two pedestrians has been caught and is facing serious charges.

Juventino Anastacio Florentino, a 23-year-old Staten Island resident, was arrested after allegedly fleeing the scene of a fatal crash at 3rd Avenue and 52nd Street. Police say he ran a red light around 4:30 a.m. while driving a BMW and struck two people crossing the street, ages 80 and 59 years old. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
