The NYPD released an image of a suspect in a vehicle robbery and a hit-and-run on the vehicle owner around a month ago on 14th Avenue and 40th Street.

Police say the suspect entered a parked black 2016 Honda Pilot on Thursday, November 10th at around 7:15am, the keys were left inside just moments earlier by the vehicle’s owner.

The suspect started the engine and began to drive away. Upon noticing his vehicle being driven away, the victim, a 45-year-old male, started running after the vehicle and trying to stop it. The suspect then struck the victim and continued to drive away.

The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention at the scene, police said.

The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, medium build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with an “adidas” logo on the front, white pants and red sneakers.
