That’s exactly what the new Month of Makdim initiative is here to change. This May—Chodesh Iyar, the month of “Ani Hashem Rofecha,” Makdim invites the community to hit pause, take stock, and prioritize their well-being. 

Makdim, an organization dedicated to promoting health awareness and early detection, is launching a full-scale campaign focused on preventative care. From scheduling annual well-visits to encouraging lifesaving screenings like mammograms and colonoscopies, the goal is simple: make health a priority before it becomes an emergency.

The truth is, many serious health conditions, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and even certain cancers, can go unnoticed for years without regular checkups. But when caught early, they’re often manageable, treatable, or even reversible. 

Throughout the month, Makdim will spotlight different aspects of preventative care with informative ads, reminders, and community support. Whether it’s encouraging women to schedule their routine screenings or reminding men over 45 to get a colonoscopy, each message is rooted in the same idea: proactive healthcare saves lives. And Makdim isn’t just raising awareness—they’re offering help. Whether you need assistance making appointments, referrals, or advice, their patient staff is happy to help.
